Carnival

Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up as Masked men during the celebrations, which is an overturning of the normal things of every day life.  Rio de Janeiro's carnival is considered the biggest in the world with approximately two million people each day.
However, there are other famous carnivals in New Orleans and London. Learn something about them.
